Some curiosities are dangerous because they attack. Others are dangerous because they invite you closer. Set to the haunting cinematic arrangement of Toxic by 2WEI, this piece explores the irresistible pull of relationship, substance, or force that is as intoxicating as it is destructive. Like a rare poison displayed within the Collector’s cabinet, its beauty conceals a deadly nature. Despite every warning, the attraction remains impossible to resist. Blending passion and tension of tango with contemporary fusion, dancers will navigate a world of pursuit, temptation, and surrender. Powerful partnering, dramatic lines, and intense musicality brings to life the struggle between self-preservation and obsession as performers are repeatedly drawn back toward the very thing that threatens to consume them. 
 
This class is part of our Performance Series, beginning the week of July 20th and culminating in a performance on the Exhibition Hall stage at the Douglas County Fairgrounds on October 23rd & 24th.
 
Classes are held weekly on Wednesdays from 5:15-6:30 PM and are instructed by Chance Fitzpatrick & Gwyndolyn Styarfyr.
