Throughout history, alchemists–often branded as witches–have searched for the impossible–a potion capable of transforming not only metal into gold, but sorrow into happiness, fear into confidence, and emptiness into fulfillment. In the Collector’s cabinet, one such curiosity remains preserved: a collection of mysterious elixirs from a promising instant joy.  This energetic hip hop piece explores humanity’s fascination with shortcuts to happiness. But can joy truly be manufactured, or is something that must be discovered from within? Filled with playful storytelling, dynamic movement, and larger-than-life character work, this performance, set to Joy by Missy Elliot, brings a vibrant burst of energy to the Curiosities & Oddities collection. Through bubbling concoctions, magic elements, and a touch of mischief, this piece celebrates the endless quest to bottle happiness–and the surprising truths along the way.
