Step into a more grounded, fluid contemporary experience set to Movement. This series invites dancers to explore breath, control, and connection through the use of negative space and push/pull dynamics. Movement will ebb and flow—shifting between expansion and restraint, resistance and release—creating a deeply expressive and intentional quality.
Each class builds on the phrasework from the week before, allowing dancers to refine transitions, deepen body awareness, and explore the relationship between stillness and motion. Emphasis is placed on weighted movement, spatial awareness, and the subtle conversation between effort and ease.
Perfect for dancers drawn to introspective, emotive choreography who want to challenge their control, presence, and ability to move with nuance and intention in a supportive, immersive space.
This class offers the optional opportunity to perform at the Summer Arts Festival.
