Among the Collector’s most unsettling acquisitions is a set of seemingly ordinary chairs. Elegant and unassuming, they sit quietly in the shadows of the collection–waiting. Legend tells of dancers whose spirits became trapped within them, forever bound to the objects they performed beside. In this haunting piece, set to Heads Will Roll by Madalen Duke, dancers will encounter cursed chairs and what begins as curiosity quickly transforms into possession as movements become increasingly controlled by unseen forces. Expect powerful chair choreography, hair flips, slow burns, dynamic level changes, and playful tricks that turn the chair into your dance partner. 
 
This class is part of our Performance Series, beginning the week of July 20th and culminating in a performance on the Exhibition Hall stage at the Douglas County Fairgrounds on October 23rd & 24th.
 
Classes are held weekly on Tuesdays from 5:15-6:30 PM and are instructed by Gwyndolyn Styarfyr.
 
For classes with enrollment caps, 70% of available spots will be released when registration opens. The remaining 30% of spots will become available at 9:00 PM following the final class of Trial Week.
